Our Conviction
Because broken systems — not broken communities — are the root of water inequality.
Our Communities

Arawa B and Malam Kuri,
Northern Nigeria

WatAlive launched its pilot phase in two underserved communities in Northern Nigeria. These communities rely on our solar-powered borehole systems and community water management structures for daily clean water access. We didn't choose these communities from a map — we arrived on foot, listened, and built together.

Our Approach

How WatAlive works

01
Needs Assessment
Community mapping of water access gaps — ward by ward, borehole by borehole. We document what's broken before we pick up a tool.
02
Infrastructure
Rehabilitation of broken boreholes and deployment of solar-powered pumping systems — built for durability in the Nigerian climate.
03
Community Ownership
Formation of local water management committees — elected by the community, trained by our team. Ownership from day one.
04
Sustainability
Maintenance training and WASH education campaigns ensure the system keeps running — and the community knows how to keep it that way.
